Kennells Mill, PA – Ronald Lee “Ronnie” Leister, 82, of Kennells Mill went to be with the Lord Tuesday August 23, 2022 at home surrounded by his family.

Born March 7, 1940 in Northampton Township, Somerset County; he was a son of the late Elwood Joel and Sara Agnes (Coughenour) Leister. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Alden Coughenour, Eldred “Bill” Leister, Wayne Leister; a sister, Carol Meier; a son, Kenneth W. Leister, and a daughter, Angela S. Leister.

Ron was a 1958 graduate of Berlin Brothersvalley High School. He was a member of Carpenter’s Union Local 1024. Ron was employed by Carl Belt Inc., Cumberland for 36 years, having retired in 2002 as a stockholder and Superintendent. He was a member of Hyndman Masonic Lodge 589 F&AM and the Kennells Mill Sportsmen’s Club.

Survived by his wife of 63 years, Pauline (Kennell) Leister, whom he married June 28, 1959; children, Terry Leister and wife Cindy of Hyndman, Sharon Robertson and husband Jim of Meyersdale, granddaughters, Melissa Robison and husband Chip, Rebecca Darr and husband Adam, Amanda Burkett and husband Trey, Sara Scritchfield and husband Derek; great grandchildren, Isabella, Lyla, and Lydia Robison, Bentley Darr, Faith and Isaiah Scritchfield; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Friday August 26, 2022 from 5 to 8 p.m.

Funeral service will be held at Calvary Bible Church, Ellerslie on Saturday August 27, 2022 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Ken Korns officiating. Viewing one hour prior.

Burial will follow at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Glencoe, PA
