Clyde Eugene Leydig, 88, of Hyndman died suddenly at home and went to be with his Lord and Savior Sunday August 25,2024.

Born September 3, 1935, in Fossilville; he was a son of the late Clyde Franklin and Clara Louise (Waugerman) Leydig. Also preceded in death by sister, Madalee Rae Nurkin; brother, Wilmer Wayne Leydig.

Survived by his wife of 67 years, Alicefaye (Martz) Leydig; children, Dena Rae Crouse and husband Richard of Grantsville, Kimberly Clauson and husband Bill of Hyndman, Shawn Leydig and wife Joie of Hyndman, Melea Hetrick and husband John of Corriganville, sisters, Willa Lehman and Lana Oliver of Buffalo Mills; grandchildren, Cassandra Crouse-Ahalt (Chad), Travis Crouse (Nicole), Cortney Haser (Colin), Megan Swick (Scott), Rachael Bills (Aaron), Ryan Clauson (Mellani), Tyler Hetrick (Christina); great grandchildren, Alivia Crouse, Slade Swick, Emili and Norah Haser, Sylas and Ayden Bills, Arya and Zella Clauson, Bentley and Matthew Hetrick; several nieces and nephews.

Clyde worked at Harvey Zeigler Funeral Home from 1955-1958; Kelly Springfield Tire Company in Cumberland from 1959-1989 and Hedstrom in Bedford from 1998 to 2000. He attended Bible Gospel Church, Buffalo Mills. Clyde was an avid hunter and fisherman. He especially loved turkey hunting. He also enjoyed gardening and was well known for his potato crop. He loved his family and very much enjoyed his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Bible Gospel Church, 4866 Hyndman Rd. on Saturday August 31, 2024  from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 12:30 p.m. with Pastor Gary Pensyl officiating.

Burial will follow at Madley Cemetery, Buffalo Mills.
