Obituary

Robert M. “Sonny” Granger Sr., 77, of Berlin, formerly of Hyndman, passed away, Friday January 1, 2010 at Meadow View Nursing Center.

Born July 18, 1932, in Baltimore, MD, he was a son of the late Edward and Martha (Karns) Granger. He was also preceded in death by his wife Betty Mae (Wagner) Granger in 1998.

He is survived by a daughters, Robin Troutman and husband David Sr. of Hyndman, Debbie Miller and Patty Caviness of Atlanta GA; sons, Gary Granger and wife Renee` of Grantsville, MD, and Robert M. Granger Jr. of Atlanta GA; grandchildren, DJ Troutman, Gary Granger II, Bethany and Mallary Granger; a great grandson, Drake Troutman; five brothers and sisters.

Mr. Granger was a self-employed truck driver; he also owned and operated a junkyard and a lawn mower shop.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. where a service will follow at 8 pm with Pastor Ken Korns officiating.

Burial will be private.
