Obituary

Hyndman, PA – Lois Irene Bush, 85, of Hyndman died Tuesday May 7, 2013, at the Lions Center.

Born May 17, 1927, in Hyndman; she was a daughter of the late Clyde H. and Myrtle E. (Burkett) Snyder. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Carl Jacob “Jake” Bush in 2006.

Survived by a sister, Patricia Willison and husband Freddie of Hyndman; sister-in-law, Ethel Goodwin of Raleigh, NC; brother-in-law, Donald Bush, NC; and many nieces and nephews.

She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Order of Eastern Star and VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She was also the Director at the Hyndman Senior Citizens.

Lois and her husband Jake owned and operated of the Thunderbird Restaurant in Hyndman. She had also worked at GC Murphy, Guy Hyre’s Bakery and Dorothy O’Roke Insurance Company.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Harold Bowser officiating.

Burial will be at Hyndman Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Lions Center for the care they provided Lois in the 9 years she was a resident there.
