Obituary

Ellerslie, MD – Izola R. Smith, 90 of Ellerslie went to be with the Lord on Friday May 22, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family.
Born December 29, 1924 in Ellerslie, MD; she was a daughter of the late John S. and Ethel (Lowery) Imler. Preceded in death by her loving husband, Earl H. Smith, they were married 64 year before his passing. Also preceded in death by sisters, Nellie Miller and Jenny Page; brothers, Harry and Bud Imler; son, Robert “Bob” Smith; and his wife, Charlotte; great granddaughter Amanda Smith and great grandson Tyler Leister.
She is survived by two sons, Earl L. Smtih and wife Shirley of LaVale, Rick L. Smith and wife Debbie of Ellerslie, a daughter, Brenda E. Scritchfield and husband Willy of Ellerslie, nine grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren.
Izola had worked at the Celanese Corp for a short time. She was a faithful and devoted Christian women, mother and wife. She taught her children the Gospel and helped lead them all to the Lord.
Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Tuesday from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, where a funeral service will follow at 12:00 Noon with the Pastor Stevie Leydig officiating
Burial will be private at Lybarger Cemetery, Madley, PA
