Obituary

Hyndman, PA – Frederick M. Topper, 64, of Hyndman went to be with the Lord on Tuesday July 14, 2015.
Born August 24, 1950; he was a son of the late Dr. John A Topper Sr. and Mary Barnes Topper.
Survived by his wife of 43 years, Melanie (Cook) Topper, whom he married May 27, 1972; a son Seth Topper and wife Karen; a daughter Stephanie Donaldson and husband Svin both of Harrisburg, three grandchildren Katie and Caden Donaldson and Cole Topper; a brother, John Topper Jr and wife Ruth, sister, Mary Ann Topper all of Hyndman and several nephews.
Fred was a 1968 graduate of Hyndman High School. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Education for Susquehanna University. He served in the Army National Guard from 1970-72. He worked as a Pennsylvania State Trooper with the Everett Troop T for 25 years, retiring in 2000. After that he would substitute teach at Hyndman High School. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police.
Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home Saturday at 11 a.m.
Burial will follow at Hyndman Cemetery.
