Obituary

Meyersdale, PA – Helen L. Emerick, 80 of Meyersdale died Monday February 22, 2016 at Golden Living in Meyersdale.
Born January 2, 1936 in Hyndman; she was a daughter of the late Walter and Florella (Sides) Leydig. She was also preceded in death by her husband, George “Hop” Emerick in 2006; two brothers, three sisters and two granddaughters.
Survived by sons, Gary Emerick, Terry Emerick, and Ronald Emerick all of Somerset; daughters, Flora Sarver and husband Robert of Hyndman, Bonnie Patton of Meyersdale, Tammy Weaverling of Hyndman; sisters Grace Meyers of Buffalo Mills, Lillian Shroyer, Shirley Hutzell both of Hyndman Mary Miller of Berlin; 18 grandchildren; many great and great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Emerick was a member of Will Mountain Church of Christ and Meyersdale Church of Christ.
Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
Burial will be at Hyndman Cemetery, Hyndman.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the funeral home to help defer expenses for the family.
