Obituary

Ida Ritchey Fields, 93, of Hyndman, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 10,2016, at Allegany Nursing and Rehab.

Born June 21, 1923, in Hyndman, she was a daughter of the late Adam and Ora (Mull) Siegner. She was also preceded in death by first husband, William B. Ritchey; second husband, Edgar G. Fields; daughter, Sharon Shircliffe; a sister, Annie Siegner; brothers, Irvin, Henry and Charles Siegner.

Survived by sons, William “Bill” Ritchey and spouse, Sherry, of Hyndman, Ernie Ritchey and spouse, Robert, of Roehobeth Beach, Del.; five grandchildren, Justin and Eric Ritchey, Ansel Shircliffe, Christine Scaff, and Jodie Shatz; several great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Martha Rider of Berkley Springs, W.Va., Leila Meyers of Shermans Dale, and Geraldine Bagley of Hyndman; and many nieces and nephews.

Ida was a member of First United Church of Christ, Hyndman. She was an accomplished businesswoman, as president of the Hoblitzell National Bank. She was very active in the community and belonged to numerous civic organizations. She was a devoted mother and wife.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman, on Monday, June 13, 2016, from 7 to 9 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 14, 2016, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Dr. Tomislav Dosch. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Burial will be at Hyndman Cemetery, Hyndman.
