Obituary

Hyndman, PA – John David Hartman, 72, of Hyndman went to be with the Lord Monday, October 7, 2019 at WMHS Regional Medical Center.
Born July 21, 1947, in Cumberland; he was a son of the late William and Willa (Watts) Hartman. He was also preceded in death by a son, Adrian M. Hartman; and a brother, Charles Hartman.
Survived by a daughter, Shannon Sussan and husband Jeff of Beallsville, PA; grandchildren, Kyra Huff, Zoey, Zachary, Jonah, Finn and Fisher Sussan; brothers, Thomas Hartman and wife Linda, of Ellerslie, Steven Hartman of Keyser, WV; a sister, Jo Ellen Troutman of Wellersburg; special nieces, Susan Troutman, Cindy Como, Tammy Lambert, and Wendy Hartman; special nephews, Cody and Garrett Twigg and Tommy Hartman.
John was a graduate of Mt. Savage High School and Old Dominion University. He served in the US Navy during Vietnam. He was the Budget Director for the City of Newport News. He was a member of Tri-State Ministry Center. He enjoyed church, reading his Bible and was an avid NY Yankee’s Fan. He loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Tri-State Ministry Center, 152 Hyndman Rd, Hyndman on Saturday October 12th from 1 to 3 p.m. where a funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Pastor Stevie Leydig officiating.
Burial will follow at Cooks Cemetery.
