Obituary

Hyndman, PA – John R. Moore Sr., 82, of Hyndman went to be with the Lord Saturday February 15, 2020 at his home.
Born September 24, 1937 in Cumberland; he was a son of the late Harry and Esther (Shaffer) Moore. He is also preceded in death by a brother, William P. Moore.
Survived by wife of 59 years, Pauline L. (Emerick) Moore; a son, John “Royce” Moore Jr. and wife LaRae of Hyndman, a daughter, Brenda L. Cooper and husband Gary of Short Gap, WV, grandchildren, Colten and Lakota Moore and Jennifer Barta; great grandchildren, Emily and Hannah; a brother, H. Louis Moore of Boalsburg, a sister, Nancy Moore of Asheville, NC and several nieces and nephews.
John was a 1955 graduate of Hyndman High School. He attended Potomac State College and served in the US Army. He worked at Kelly Springfield Tire and Better Tires in Bedford. He was also a lifelong farmer. He was a member of Comps Church and Hyndman Senior Center.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
