Hyndman, PA – Ruth E. Emerick, 87, of Hyndman passed away Saturday May 2, 2020 at UPMC Western Maryland
Born March 8, 1933 in Kennells Mill, PA; she was a daughter of the late James L. and Pauline (Shroyer) Kennell. Also preceded in death by her husband, Earl Leroy Emerick in 2018, brothers, James, Paul, and Robert Kennell
Survived by children, Leroy Emerick and wife Sharon of Hyndman, Joyce Thompson and husband Tim of Ellerslie, Calvin Emerick of Hyndman, Karen Kitis and husband John of Frostburg, grandchildren, Matthew Emerick and wife Joey, Timothy Emerick, Chrissy Knight and husband Gary, and Adam Kitis; great grandchildren, Lacey Getson, Mikenna Love, Kyley and Mallory Emerick, Samantha, Haely and Serenity Kitis; sisters, Sue Corley of Berlin, Pauline Leister and husband Ronald of Hyndman, and Ruby Moore of Lewes, DE, who was Ruth’s twin sister; a brother, Roy Kennell and wife Linda of Hyndman and many nieces and nephews.
Ruth was a faithful member of Calvary Bible Church and enjoyed numerous visits with Pastor Ken Korns when she could not attend. She was a dedicated mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She enjoyed spending time with her family and preparing family meals.
Due to the current Covid-19 Pandemic the family will conduct the funeral service privately.
Burial will be at Comps Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Calvary Bible Church.
