Obituary

Hyndman, PA – Guy G. Gongaware, 72, of Hyndman formerly of Rillton, passed away Thursday December 10, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family.
Born February 28, 1948 in Greensburg; he was a son of the late Russell and Henrietta (Atwood) Gongaware. He was also preceded in death by an infant daughter Lora Gongaware.
Survived by his wife of 49 years, Victoria A. (Wilhelm) Gongaware, whom he married March 3, 1971; children, Kenneth Steven of Irwin, Kara Gibson and husband Donald of Gilmer, TX, Mark Stevens of Herminie, Amanda Gongaware of Hyndman; 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; brothers, Russell and Roy Gongaware, a sister, Joy Miers, all of North Huntingdon Twp.
Guy owned and operated Norstar Enterprise, an electrical business. He was a member of Kennells Mill Sportsmen’s Club, Ellerslie Club, Barrelville Outdoor Club, Irwin Moose and Elks. Guy was a quite peaceful man. He enjoyed playing cards and loved his furry feline friends.  He enjoyed being in the mountains. He was loved by his family and will be sadly missed.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
