Obituary

Morgan D. “Buddy” Morgan III, 84, of Mt. Savage, passed away Tuesday January 12, 2021 at UPMC Western Maryland Hospital.
Born June 8, 1936 in Barrelville; he was a son of the late Morgan D. II and Bertie (Kelly) Morgan. He is also preceded in death by infant sister, Audrey Morgan, sister, Roberta Abucevicz and husband George.
Survived by his wife Ella (Hutzell) Morgan; son, Morgan “David” Morgan IV and wife Dawna of Mt. Savage, daughter Karen Gayle of Cumberland, Tammy Frye and husband Kelly of Frostburg, stepchildren, whom he loved as his own, Margie Troutman of Meyersdale, Jake Wilhelm and wife Leslie of Barrellville, Tammy McKenzie and husband Joe of Glencoe, grandchildren,  Autumn Gayle and boyfriend Ryan Ross, Conway Gayle, Jessie Morgan and husband Nate Spiker, Michael Shannon, Emily Morgan, Alexis Frye, Brandon Frye, step grandchildren, Danielle Mock and husband Rodney, Matthew Troutman and wife Amanda, Andrew Troutman and wife Cassidy, Tashina Wilhelm, Kiya Wilhelm, and husband Andrew, Joey McKenzie and wife Tracy, Brandi Rhoads and husband Justin, great granddaughters, Rilynn Spiker, Mercy Ross, Mileena Ross, step great grandchildren, Calleigh, Carter, Cassidy, Ryleigh, Payton, Dillon, Aubrey, Bryson, Mason, Brandon, Everly, Elias, and Evelyn.
He was a graduate of Mt. Savage High School and went to work at the Kelly Springfield Tire Company right out of school at the age of 18. After retirement worked at Georgie Green Thumb and Kline’s Furniture Store. He was very proud of the Morgan name and always told the story of his ancestry. He played ball for many years and was a sports lover, enjoyed going to blue grass concerts, playing cards, hunting and fishing with his son and nephews, and four wheeling at the Barney Engle Farm. He belonged to the Barrelville Outdoor Club. He was a faithful member of Comps Pentecostal Church.
Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Friday January 15, 2021 from 5 to 8 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday January 16, 2021 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Roger Huffman officiating. Viewing one hour prior to the service.
Burial will follow at Restlawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made Toys for Happiness at the Barrelville Outdoor Club.
