Obituary

Hyndman, PA – Donald J. McCoy, 50, of Hyndman passed away January 5, 2022 at UPMC Western Maryland.
Born April 29, 1971 in Cumberland, he was a son of Donald W. McCoy and Carol (Clites) Henderson. He is preceded in death by his father Donald McCoy, maternal grandparents, Samuel and Idella Clites, paternal grandparents, Bill and Jean McCoy, mother-in-law, Darlene Lowery, brother-in-law, Scott Brandt, and his dog, Abby.
Survived by wife of 24 years, Dawn (Lowery) McCoy, children, Samuel McCoy and girlfriend, Tiara Piper; Ashley McCoy, mother, Carol Henderson and husband John; sisters, Mindy Brandt, Becky Claus, brother, Coby McCoy, special friends, George Shaffer and family; numerous nieces and nephews and his dogs, Spot and Jersey.
Donnie worked at Hedstrom, American Woodmark and ATK. He was a member Kennells Mills Sportsmen’s Club and former member of the Hyndman Fire Department and Hyndman Rescue Squad. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time with family.
Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Sunday January 9, 2022 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Visitors are asked to wear masks.
A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home Monday January 10, 2022 at 6 p.m. with Pastor Chad Fatula officiating. Viewing one hour prior.
