Obituary

Robert V. Kelly Jr., 88 of Carlisle formerly of Buffalo Mills, PA passed away April 24, 2023 at Sarah Todd Memorial Home in Carlisle.
Born February 27, 1935, in Ellerslie; he was a son of the late Robert V. Sr. and Geraldine (Stahlman) Kelly; also preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte L. (Chaney) Kelly, and infant brother, Franklin Kelly, brother, Maxwell Kelly.
Survived by children, Jeffrey Kelly and wife Chub, Robert Kelly III and wife Dianne, Fawn Robinski and husband Dave all of Carlisle; four grandchildren, Cory Kelly and wife, Julie; Justin Kelly, Trent Reisinger and wife Colie, TJ Reisinger; sisters, Jeane Schad of Hyndman, Carole Petty of Amissville, VA, brothers, James Kelly and wife Jeanne of Berryville, VA, Mike Kelly and wife Penny of Markham; sister-in-law, Marty Barnhart of Hagerstown, MD; 5 great grandchildren, Samantha, Dylan, Emma, Miles and Ronnie; special nephews and nieces, Herbert Schad, Joni Cook, Alton Kirby, Jimmy Kelly, Jenny Powell, Bobbie Jean Sewell and Brooke Kelly. Everyone called him “Pap”
Bob graduated from Hyndman High School class of 1954. He served as a police officer in DC metro area and worked in Cumberland. He retired from PPG after 33 years. He was a former member of Grace United Methodist Church.
Bob dedicated his life to his family, his wife, his brothers and sisters, his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and will be remembered by all as a role model in what family is supposed to be. Bob’s passion was hunting, fishing and the outdoors. He mentored many generations of hunters and hosted the Hyndman Londonderry Lions Club at his camp for an annual sportsmen’s night.
Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman Thursday April 27, 2023 from 5 to 8 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday April 28, 2023 at 11 a.m. Viewing one hour prior.
Burial will follow Madley Cemetery, Buffalo Mills.

His family would like to thank caregiver, Kimberley Leydig for all the love and friendship she showed Bob over the last 3 years. Also neighbor and friend Nate Blackburn.
