Obituary

Hyndman, PA – Edward W. “Bud” Evans Jr., 91, of Hyndman passed away August 12, 2024.
Born June 8, 1933 in Hyndman; a son of the late Edward Sr. and Myra Pearl (Kelly) Evans. Also preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth “Ann” (Thomas) Evans.
Bud proudly served in the US Army in the Korean War. He was a diesel mechanic for Leydig Trucking for many years. He had been attending Gravel Pit United Methodist Church and was a member of the Oscar Jordan VFW Post 7375.
Survived by sons, Cody Evans and wife, Zarina, of Harrisburg; Monte Evans and wife, Stephanie, of Heber City, Utah; a daughter, Shani Evans of Harpers Ferry, W.Va.; daughter-in-law and special friend, Cindy Zimmerman of Hyndman; grandchildren: Bianca, Edward, Daniel, Amanda, Craig, Andrew, Shayla, Hannah and Levi; great-grandchildren: Damon, Aiden, Brooklynn, Madison, Walker and Lawson; his traveling companion and special friend, Rosalee Stahlman.
Per Bud’s wishes he will be cremated.
A private service was held Friday August 16, 2024 at Hyndman Cemetery with the Fort Bedford Honor Guard.
