Obituary

Mackie, Betty Jean, 68, Lonaconing MD, peacefully went to be with the Lord on September 21, 2025 surrounded by her family. Born October 11, 1956, to the late George and Mary (Kimble) Stickley. Also preceded in death by sister, Martha Hege; brother, David Stickley.

Betty was survived by children, Cheyenne Troutman (Brandon) and Dakota Mackie (Kandi); grandchildren, Cheylee, Brooklynn, and Maverick Troutman; brothers, James Stickley and Paul Stickley (Jan); sister, Lois Marken and nieces and nephews.

Betty loved the outdoors and being with her family. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Betty will be buried on the family farm cemetery in Flintstone, MD and all are welcome. There will be a graveside service Thursday September 25, 2025, at 12pm with Stevie Leydig officiating at 10101 Stickley Road Flintstone, MD 21530. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family to help with final expenses. Arrangements in care of Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home.
