Obituary
Ronald Wayne Stahlman (Ron), 88, of Hyndman, PA, passed away on April 25, 2026. He was born in Hyndman, PA on August 27, 1937, to the late Perl and Mary Stahlman.
In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Nikki Rapp.
He is survived by his loving brother, Cliff Stahlman and his wife Paula. He is also survived by his three daughters from the late Patsy (Beverly) Diehl: Cindy Sapp, Cheri L. Kramer (Earl), and Ronda LaGorga (Angelo); along with nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
After graduating from Hyndman High School in 1956, Ron enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He was stationed at 8th & I Marine Barracks in Washington, D.C., where he proudly served as part of the personal color guard for President Dwight D. Eisenhower. He was also a member of the Silent Drill Platoon from 1956 to 1959.
Following his military service, he worked for many years as a Teamster truck driver for Chemical Leaman Tank Lines.
After retirement, Ron devoted his time to the things he loved most—family, friends, golfing, and caring for his home and landscaping. He created what became known as “Ronnie World.” He enjoyed spending time at the Hyndman Senior Center and sharing meals at the round table at the Hornets Nest. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Ken and Sue Shoup for their kindness and friendship, to Linda Fazenbaker for the exceptional care she provided, treating Ron like a king, and to Lynn Good for her care and compassion. There will be a memorial service Saturday May 9, 2026, at 11am at Grace United Methodist Church, 222 Schellsburg Street, Hyndman PA 15545. Arrangements entrusted to the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home.
