Obituary
Earl Wayne Campbell, 87, of Hyndman, was received into the arms of his Lord and Savior at his home on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, while surrounded by his family.
Born September 10, 1938, in Hyndman, he was the son of the late Fred M. Campbell and Stella M. (Deneen) Campbell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Henry and Betty Stuby; brothers, Robert Campbell, Glenn Campbell; sisters, Mabel Burkett, Elizabeth Stuby, Ethel Lafferty, Mildred Miller, and Dorothy Turner; brothers-in-law, Robert Ringler, John Burkett, Ray Stuby, Forrest Lafferty, John Miller, Robert Turner, and Frank Stahlman; and sisters-in-law, Tracy Haley, Dorothy Campbell, Dona Campbell, and Emma Lee Campbell.
He is survived by his loving wife, Judith, with whom he shared 65 years, as well as their children, Diana (Michael) Lafferty, Dale (Tracie) Campbell, both of Hyndman, and Amy Jo (William) Leydig of Buffalo Mills; grandchildren, Lindsay (Seth) Tucker, Amber (Japheth) Fetter, Lucas (Lauren) Campbell, and Jackson (Leighlyn) Leydig; great grandchildren, Rowan, Annabelle, Lainey, Micah, Leiloni, and Lincoln; brothers, Clyde Campbell and Don Campbell; sister, Rosalee Stahlman; sisters-in-law, Brenda Ringler and Sara Ann Campbell; brother-in-law, Steve Haley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Earl was a 1957 graduate of Hyndman High School and served in the U.S. Army for 2 years in active duty and 4 years in the U.S. Army Reserves. He was employed by the Kelly Springfield Tire Company where he worked for 25 years. He was a faithful member of Gravel Pit United Methodist Church. He served as superintendent of his church for many years, as well as volunteering at the local food bank.
Earl enjoyed gardening and watching Pirate baseball, but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother and will be missed by all who knew him.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Cassie and Becky from Interim Hospice for the wonderful care given during his last days. The family also appreciates the love and support received by friends and family. A special thank you is extended to Pastor Rod and Kathy Spiker. Earl enjoyed all the visits he received over the past several months from everyone.
Friends will be received at Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., on Monday, June 29, 2026, from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00. There will be additional viewing from 10:00 until the time of service at 11:00 on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, with Pastor Rod Spiker. Earl will be interred at Hyndman Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral.
