Obituary

Bryant, Donald L., 76, Hyndman, passed away October 25, 2026. Born November 5, 1949, to the late Palmer and Elsie (Hutzell) Bryant. He was also preceded in death by longtime life partner Alma Sherman; brother in-law Barry Gooden and his dog Jack.

He was survived by his sister Mary Gooden Hyndman PA.  and brother Wayne E. Bryant (Karen) Middlesex N.C.; niece Kelly Logsdon and special nephew Andrew Croston.

Donald was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army and was a life member of the Cumberland VFW and the American Legion. He retired after 25 years with Publix and then drove truck for Smith transport. He was 1968 graduate of Hyndman High School. At Donald’s request there will be no viewing but there will be a private graveside service for family at the Hyndman Cemetery. Per the family’s request, please make donations to Saint Jude’s Children’s Hospital in lieu of flowers. Arrangements entrusted to the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home.
