Sandra Jean “Jeanie” Boor, 68, of Corriganville, MD passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2012, at WMHS Regional Medical Center.

Born May 13, 1943, in Corriganville; she was a daughter of the late Irvin W. and Leola Belle (McKenzie) Burkett. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Carl Boor Sr., in 1988; and a brother, Robert Burkett.

She is survived by sons, John Carl Boor Jr. and fianc, Cynthia Vogl of Dover, DE, Jeffery I. Boor of Hyndman; a daughter, Christina J. Pratt and husband John of Mount Savage, grandson, Owen Parker Pratt, sisters, Lou Ann Shircliffe of San Antonio TX, Connie Martin and husband Denny of LaVale, Susan Aldridge of Corriganville; brothers, Terry Burkett Sr. and wife Judy, William Burkett and wife Carole both of Mount Savage and many nieces and nephews.

Jeanie tended bar at DeHaven’s and the Wilderness Tavern for many years. She also was a caregiver for the elderly. She was a member of St. Johns United Church of Christ, and the Corriganville Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Thursday from 11am to 1 pm where a funeral service will follow at 1pm with Rev. Dr. Tomislav Dosch officiating.

Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, LaVale.
