Obituary

Anna Elizabeth “Betty” – Kirchner, 88, of Hyndman passed away Monday, November 23, 2009, at Pennknoll Village.

Born October 3, 1921, in Hyndman, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Alzene (Coughenour) Horner. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harry E. “Rick” Kirchner in 2003, and a brother, Robert L. Horner.

She is survived by a son, Calvin E. Kirchner and wife Constance (Hyde) of Buffalo Mills, brothers, David Albert Horner and wife Ann, Richard N. Horner and wife Faith all of Hyndman, sisters, Phyllis Metz of Wichita, KS, Jane Moore and husband Lewis of Boalsburg, PA; and many nieces and nephews.

Betty retired from the Celanese after 44 years of service. She also worked at Horners Market in Hyndman for many years. She was a life member of the First United Methodist Church in Hyndman.

There will be no viewing.

A graveside service will be held at Hyndman Cemetery, Hyndman, PA, on Friday, November 27, 2009, at 12 p.m. with Rev. Ryan Viands officiating.

In lieu of flowers donation may be made to First United Methodist Church, PO Box 605, Hyndman PA 15545.
