Obituary

David A. Logsdon Sr., 55, of Hyndman died Sunday, February 28, 2010, at WMRMC, Cumberland, MD

Born March 6, 1954, in Cumberland, he was a son of Harry H. and Betty (O’Baker) Logsdon. He was preceded in death by his father, and a son Jason A. Logsdon.

He is survived by his mother of Hyndman, wife of 28 years, Barbara(Emerick) Logsdon, whom he married May 16, 1981; a son, David Logsdon Jr. of Kennells Mill, a daughter, Susan Guthrie of Berkley Springs, MD; four grandchildren, Brandon Guthrie, Sky, Sage and Summer Logsdon; brothers Henry Logsdon of Kennells Mill, Harry Logsdon of Schellsburg and Roger Logsdon of Ellerslie, MD; a sister, Betty Brick and husband David of Hyndman.

Mr. Logsdon was a truck driver. He had worked at Ron Shaffer Construction and New Enterprise Stone & Lime. He was a member of the Kennells Mill Sportsmans Club and enjoyed racing jeeps.

Friends will be received at the Bible Gospel Church, 4866 Hyndman Rd, Hyndman on Thursday March 4th from 2 to 5 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 5p.m. with Rev. Fay Leydig officiating.

Burial will be private.

Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home Inc., Hyndman, PA, is handling the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the funeral home to help defer funeral expenses.
