Obituary

Fay Louise Leckemby, 82, of Hyndman, PA, passed away Friday, September 28, 2012, at the home of her daughter, after a long battle with cancer

Born August 20, 1930, in Garrett, PA; she was a daughter of the late Leroy “Doc” and Anna (Ash) Emerick. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Leckemby Sr.; a brother, Bernard Emerick and wife Mary; a sister, June Shaffer.

Fay was a homemaker. She enjoyed shopping with her sister June, looking for bargains, going to yard sales and eating out.

In the early years she taught Sunday School at Central Assembly of God.

She is survived by a daughter, Marie Sisk and husband Kenny of Ellerslie, MD; a son, William Leckemby Jr. and wife Debbie of Hyndman; two grandchildren, Michelle Sick, Brian Sisk and wife Lori, all of Hyndman; two great grandchildren, Derrick and Ty Sisk; sister, Colleen Logue of Ellerslie, MD; a brother, Farrell Emerick and special friend Faith Steele.

Her family would like to thank Pastor Stevie Leydig for all the help he gave to her.

Also thanks to the Hospice caregivers, especially Tracy and Ann for the wonderful care and love they gave.

There will be no viewing. At her request she will be cremated.

Graveside service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Palo Alto Hilltop Cemetery, Hyndman, PA with Pastors Stevie Leydig and Caleb Shaffer officiating.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hyndman Ministry Center.
