Obituary
Buffalo Mills, PA – Harry M. “Bud” Sellers, of Buffalo Mills, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at WMHS Regional Medical Center.
Born October 28, 1931, in Johnstown, PA; he was the son of the late Kenneth Sellers and Velma I. (Rodger) Sellers Minahan and the step son of the late James L. Minahan. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, whom he married Oct. 11 1952, Hazel Ann (Trindle) Sellers.
He is survived by a son, Daniel J. Sellers and wife Beth of St. Clairsville, OH; daughters, Melanie L. Sheeks and husband Steve of Barlow, KY, Marcia D. O’Rear of Buffalo Mills; grandchildren Seth Sheeks , US Navy stationed in Pensacola, FL, Hannah Sheeks, Barlow, KY; sister-in-law, Virginia Stewart of Armagh, PA; and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Sellers was a graduate of Greater Johnstown High. He served in the US Army as a M.P. during Korea and was stationed in Italy. He retired from Kelly Springfield Tire Company where he was a machinist.
Mr. Sellers was a very active member of Christ Lutheran Church, where he served as past president of the council and was a Sunday School teacher for many years. He was a member of the Hyndman Londonderry Lions Club and recipient of the Melvin Jones Award. He was also a member of the Hyndman Masonic Lodge #589 F&AM, Scottish Rite of Harrisburg, Tall Cedars of Lebanon, and OES Bedford Springs Chapter 41.
Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m., Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and at Christ Lutheran Church, Buffalo Mills on Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m.
A Lion’s Club service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 8 p.m. and a Masonic Service will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 8 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted at Christ Lutheran Church on Saturday at 11 a.m. with the Vicar Ryan Viands officiating.
A graveside service will be held at the Armagh Cemetery, Armagh at 3 p.m. Saturday.
