Obituary

Hyndman, PA – Jack R. Lantz, 63, of Hyndman, PA, died Tuesday, January 11, 2011, at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV.

Born July 20, 1947, in Cumberland, MD; he was a son of the late Robert L. and Minerva “Noby” (Atkinson) Lantz. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Bruce Lantz; sisters, Naomi Lepley, Marian Taylor and Anna Lee Oster.

He is survived by a daughters, Angie Kennell and husband, Brian of Hyndman; Jackie M. Bittner and husband Travis of Meyersdale, a son, Michael R. Lantz of Hyndman; grandchildren, Justin, Bo, and Kirk Bryant, Cheyenne and Cody Kennell, Kassidi and Hunter Lantz; a sister; brothers, Robert Lantz Sr. of Mt Savage, MD, Richard Lantz of Gettysburg, Rev. Thomas Lantz of Fort Ashby, WV, Paul Lantz of Meyersdale, Timothy Lantz of Hyndman; a very special friend, Karen Bridges of Hyndman and many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Lantz served in the US Army during Vietnam. He was stationed in Germany. He worked for CSX Railroad and was a member of the Kennells Mill Sportsmen’s Club.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Thursday from 7 to9 p.m. and on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Roger Huffman officiating

Burial will be private at Comps Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the funeral home to help offset expenses.
