Jerry W. “Woody” Sturtz

Wellersburg, PA – Jerry W. “Woody” Sturtz, 55, of Wellersburg died Monday December 2, 2013 at Donahoe Manor, Bedford, PA.
Born May 23, 1958 in Frostburg, MD, he was a son of Ellsworth and Effie (Emerick) Sturtz . He is preceded in death by his father, Ellsworth “Bup” Sturtz.
Survived by his mother, Effie of Wellersburg; brothers and sisters, Peggy Muir, Helen Lynch and husband Jerry all of Wellersburg, Richard “Blote” Sturtz and wife Karen of Barrellville, MD, Robert “Hawk” Sturtz and wife Tammy of Wellersburg, Ricky “Bud” Sturtz and wife Darla of Pittsburgh, Anna Ravenscraft, and Harv Sturtz both of Wellersburg.
Woody worked as a fork lift operator at Mt. Savage Refactories. He was a member of the Local 1058, Barrellville Outdoors Club and the Kennells Mill Sportsmen’s Club.
Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday at 11 a.m.
Burial will follow at Cooks Cemetery, Wellersburg, PA.
