Obituary

Laura Virginia Ginny Elliott, 90, of Hyndman died Sunday, September 5, 2010, at Western Maryland Region Medical Center, Cumberland, MD.

Born January 29, 1920, in Hyndman; she was a daughter of the late Reginald I. and Ruth I. (Emerick) Mason. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James W. Elliott; brothers, Reginald I. Mason II and Charles R. Mason.

She is survived by a sister-in-law, Sybil Mason of Florala, AL; nephew and caregiver, Reginald I. Mason III and wife, Keli of LaVale, MD; and special friends, Sharon Hendrickson and Grace Cook of Hyndman.

Mrs. Elliott had worked for the Ben Franklin Store in Hyndman. She was also instrumental in the founding and development of the Hyndman Rescue Squad.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday at 1 p.m. with Rev. Lance Tucker officiating.

Burial will follow at Hyndman Cemetery, Hyndman, PA.
