Obituary

Mary Katherine Beal, 94, of Mount Savage, MD, passed away Wednesday November 7, 2012 at Allegany Nursing and Rehab Center.

Born October 18, 1918 in Reedsville, West Virginia; she was a daughter of the late Travis and Mabel (Zinn) Shoemaker.

She was also preceded in death by her husband Lester K. Beal; a brother, Robert Shoemaker; best friend and sister-in-law, Pauline Shoemaker.

She is survived by sons, Edwin E. Beal and wife Ohlee; and J. Glenn Beal both of Mt. Savage; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; and several nephews.

Mrs. Beal was a homemaker and a member of the Wellersburg United Methodist Church. She enjoyed cooking and loved inviting people in for meals.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Thursday from 7 to 9 pm

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Ken Haines officiating.

Burial will be at Cooks Cemetery.
