Obituary

Alfretta “Babe” Eileen (Weimer) Blank, 100, passed away July 13, 2026. Babe was born October 8, 1925, in Wellersburg, PA, to the late Allen and Rodella (Laughery) Weimer. She is preceded in death by her husband Donald Blank, Sr., and son Donald Blank, Jr., and siblings, Leora, Mildred and Allen.

Babe is survived by daughter Donna and husband Bill Porter, daughter Regina Solomon, daughter Janet and husband Dave Zysk, daughter Beverly Frantel, son Neil Blank and daughter Gayle Blank. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who found her greatest joy in creating a loving home for her family.

In accordance with Babe’s wishes, there will be no viewing. A private funeral will be held at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Cumberland, MD. Internment will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Mt. Savage, MD. Arrangements entrusted to the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home.
