Billy K. Kennell
Corriganville, MD Billy K. Kennell, 85, of Corriganville died Tuesday, October 22, 2013, at WMHS Regional Medical Center.
Born April 12, 1928, in Southampton Twp., Somerset County; he was a son of the late Melvin and Grace May (Clitz) Kennell. He is preceded in death by his wife Martha L. (Smith) Kennell, and a brother, Leroy “Booty” Kennell.
Survived by children, Billy Kennell and wife Mary Ellen of Ellerslie; JoAnn Willingham; Diane Douty; Tim Kennell and wife Susan; Karen Diehl and husband David; Leo Shinholt and special friend, Susie Butler all of Corriganville; grandchildren, Jason Kennell and wife Sheri; Jeremy Kennell and Kara, Mary Beth Kennell, Brent Willingham and wife Batina, Adam and Ryan Willingham, Crystal Brown and husband Ronald, Roy Douty, Jerimie, Brittany and Travis Diehl; great grandchildren, Ryan, Alexander, Carter, Daron, Delanie, Addison, Christopher and Rachael; a sister, Shirley Martz of Meyersdale; and a special son- in- law, Bob Willingham.
Billy retired from the B&O Railroad after 46 years of service. He also worked in a coal mine, stone quarry and for Hazelwood Contraction. He attended Comps Church.
Billy was a life member of the Barrelville Outdoors Club, Kennells Mill Sportsmen’s Club, and the Ellerslie Outdoor Club. He was also a member of the Eagles and Democrat Club. He enjoyed spending time with his family, picnics, hunting, Pittsburgh Pirate Baseball, going to sales and auction and watching his grandchildren play at various sporting events.
Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted at Comps Church, Southampton Twp, Hyndman PA on Friday at 11 a.m. with Pastors Roger Huffman and Ken Korns officiating.

Burial will follow at Comps Cemetery with his grandson serving as pallbearers.
