Obituary

Hyndman, PA – Charles “Ray” Landis, 85, of Hyndman died Monday April 18, 2016 at Pennknoll Village.
Born August 7, 1930 in Cumberland he was a son of the late Charles Edmond and Viola Gertrude (Cook) Landis. He was also preceded in death by a son, Charles Edmund “Eddie” Landis; and son-in-law, Jesse Day
Survived by his wife of 45 years, Donna (Custer) Landis, sons, David Landis and wife Tresa of Ellerslie, John Landis of Hyndman; daughters, Donna Day of Buffalo Mills, Dora Stranathan and husband Mike of Alexandria, TN, Mary Arney  husband Brian of Kennells Mill, 13 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren and his dog, Chole.
Mr. Landis was a machine operator at Leydig Lumber and Delta Mining. He was a very hard worker and enjoyed reading his Bible.
Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Stevie Leydig officiating
Burial will follow at Porters Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hyndman or Ellerslie Volunteer Fire Departments.
