Obituary

Hyndman, PA – Donna Lou Shaffer, 86, of Hyndman went to be with the Lord Monday November 23, 2020 at Egle Nursing and Rehab, Lonaconing, MD
Born February 3, 1934 in Hyndman, PA she was a daughter of the late Banks and Bessie (Davis) Stahlman. She was also preceded in death by husband Ronald D. Shaffer; preceded in death by sisters, Margaret Robinson, Annie Horner, and Geraldine Kelly; brothers, Audley “Jake”, Frank, Curtis, and James Stahlman.
She is survived by children, Ronald D. “Bill” Shaffer Jr. and wife Debra of Ridge26753ley, WV, Katherine L. “Kathy” Warnick and husband Greg of Hyndman, Julie M. Myers and husband Chris of Hancock;  grandchildren, Nicole Warnick, Katelyn Frost and husband William,  Mckenzie Miller and girlfriend Riley Schaefer, a great grandson, Noah Frost; many nieces and nephews; her faithful pets, Sophie and Callie.
She worked as a teacher’s aide at Hyndman Primary School and also at GB’s, Value City and City Lights. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Donna was a wonderful mother and loved her grandchildren. She was friendly to everyone and was always thinking of others. She well known for sending friends and family cards for all occasions.
Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Friday November 27, 2020 from 12 to 1 pm where a service will follow at 1 pm with Pastor Fred Zickefoose officiating.
Burial will follow at Cooks Mills Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the staff at Egle Nursing for the care and compassion they showed Donna during her stay there.
