Obituary

Hyndman, PA – Douglas “Mike” Logsdon, 71, of Hyndman passed away Sunday, December 15, 2024, at WVU Ruby Memorial.

Born November 11, 1953, in Cumberland; he was a son of the late Leo and Betty (Hendershot) Logsdon. Also preceded in death by a brother, Terry Logsdon.

Survived by his wife of 50 years, Bonnie (Lohr) Logsdon; sons, Jeremy Logsdon and wife Lauren of Bedford, Adam Logsdon and wife Lorrie Beth of Bedford, Tyler Logsdon and wife Samantha of Cumberland; grandchildren, Garrison, Nola, Flynn, Jerren, and Adley; a brother, Ronnie Logsdon and wife Susie of Hyndman, sisters, Carole Harvey of Keedysville, MD, Jennifer Bascelli and husband Lou of Cumberland; sister-in-law, Elaine Logsdon of Hyndman; and many nieces and nephews.

Mike had worked at Kelly Springfield Tire, Hedstrom and American Woodmark. He was a member of the Palo Alto United Methodist Church. Mike played softball for many local teams including Palo Alto and Caporale’s teams. He was an avid Pittsburgh Sports fan and enjoyed attending Penn State Football games. Mike was a family man. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, attending their sporting events.

A graveside service will be held Friday December 20, 2024, at 1 p.m. at Palo Alto Hilltop Cemetery with Pastor Derek Platt officiating. A celebration of life with follow from 2 to 7 pm at the Hyndman Grange Hall. The family wants you to wear your favorite Pittsburgh team shirt, bring photos and share memories.
