Obituary

Earl E. Shroyer, 85, of Hyndman went to be with the Lord November 1, 2023.

Born January 30, 1938 in Hyndman; he was the son of the late Floyd and Lena (Kirchner) Shroyer.

Survived by his wife Elaine (Miller) Shroyer; daughter, Erica Blank and husband Eric; sister, Ninalee Corley; nieces, Diana Weimer and Gay Findley; nephew, Glenn Corley Jr.

Earl served in the US Army. He retired from PPG. In his younger years he worked in sales, drafting and on main frame computers. He was a member of the Buffalo Mills Christian Church and the Hyndman Masonic Lodge 589 F&AM where he was a 32nd degree Mason. Family was the most important thing, and it always came first for Earl. He enjoyed helping build his daughter’s home, motorcycles, cars, Penguins Hockey, Steelers Football, and gardening. He met his friends every morning for coffee. Earl loved animals and enjoyed pet sitting, Dulci, Lacy, Sam, Coco, Truffles, Conan, Binky, Nittany, Boots, Bella and Squeaky.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman Tuesday, November 7, 2023, from 6 to 9 p.m. Masonic service at 8:30 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at Buffalo Mills Christian Church on Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Leona Logan officiating. Viewing one hour prior.

Burial will follow at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.
