Obituary

Edward L. “Hap” Kennell, 91, of Hyndman went to be with the Lord Sunday June 2, 2024 at Rest Assured Nursing Home.
Born May 31, 1933, in Kennells Mill; a son of the late Irvin and Ruth (Bittner) Kennell. Also, preceded in death by an infant brother, Donald Kennell; brother, Kenneth Kennell; grandson, Jamy LaComb.
Survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Edith (Emerick) Kennell; whom he married April 30, 1955; a daughter, Sandy LaComb and husband Brian of Bedford; grandchildren, Risa Barton and husband Dave of Bedford; Dylan LaComb of Newry; great grandchildren, Tyler and Mallory Barton; sister, Alice Cummins and husband Leland of Fairhope; special niece and nephews, Lynnette “Sis” Troutman, Elroy, Troy, and Royce Shroyer.
Hap was a teamster with the local 453. He worked at Cumberland Cement and Supply for 30 years. He was a member of the Central Christian Church and the Kennells Mill Sportsmen’s Club, where he did maintenance. Hap played softball for the Penn Mar League for many years.
Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman Friday June 7, 2024, from 6 to 8 p.m.
A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday June 8, 2024, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Terry Elliott officiating. Viewing one hour prior.
Burial will follow at Hyndman Cemetery.
