Obituary

Cumberland, MD Eva Elizabeth Emrick, 88, went to be with the Lord Monday, May 28, 2012 at her home with her caregiver, Lois Lane.

Born June 29, 1923 in Southampton Twp, Somerset County, PA; she was a daughter of the late Clarence B. and Saloma Viola (Clites) Emerick. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Leo Curtis Emrick, who died in 1999; brothers John and Ray Emerick; sisters, Blanche Ohler and Lillie Osborne.

She is survived by sisters, Annie Deneen and husband Leroy, Ilene
Kennell, both of Hyndman, Ruby Shroyer of Cumberland, Brothers, Leo,
Vernon and Chester Emerick all of Hyndman, Curtis Emerick of Lewes,
Delaware; and many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Emrick worked at the Garment Factory in Cumberland and was also a Licensed Minister.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Jim Peters, officiating.

Burial will follow at Comps Cemetery. George “Sonny” Walters, Harry Hutzell, Bernard Shroyer, Lynn Emerick, Roy Kennell and Ronnie Emerick will serve as Pallbearers.
