Obituary

Hyndman, PA – Evelyn P. Shaffer, 85, of Hyndman passed away Saturday January 23, 2021 at Allegany Nursing and Rehab.
Born April 18, 1935 in Buffalo Mills, PA; she was a daughter of the late Walter and Gladys (Ringler) Burkett. She is also preceded in death by her husband Earl B. Shaffer, sister, Grace Harr; brother, Robert Burkett.
Survived by daughter, Ellen Shroyer and Husband Donnie of Hyndman; grandson, Corey Shroyer and fiancé Brittany Beck of Pittsburgh; sisters, Maxine Gardner of Vienna, VA, Nancy Klein of Cumberland; brother, Gene Burkett and wife Jane of Mt. Dora, FL; and many nieces and nephews.
She was a graduate of Hyndman High School class of 1953.  She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, where she served on the church council and taught Sunday School.
There will be no viewing or service.
Burial at Madley Cemetery, Buffalo Mills.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made Christ Lutheran Church.
