Obituary

Faye L. May, 97, formerly of Buffalo Mills, passed away February 10, 2025, at Homewood at Martinsburg.

Born June 18, 1927 in Hyndman; she was a daughter of the late John and Eva (Sherman) Lehman. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Howard May, Jr.; a daughter, Amy McCollum; brothers, John Sherman, Reuel “Jake” and Gerald Regis Lehman; sisters, Anna Waltman, Lillian Lehman, Vera Wills-Schmidt, Ilga Albritton, Lois Lehman, Vivian Malas, Twila Black, Gloria Kinton, Dale Shuck and Anna Waltman.

Survived by a son, J. Clifford Elder and wife Nancy of Atlantic City, NJ; grandchildren, Bryson McCollum Smith, Jeremy Elder and Austin McCollum.

Faye had worked at McCroy’s Department Store and PennDot. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Madley, where she served on church council. She was a life member of the VFW and American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.

A funeral service will be conducted at Christ Lutheran Church., 7319 Hyndman Rd., Buffalo Mills, PA on Thursday February 13, 2025 at 2 p.m. with The Rev. Ryan K. Viands officiating. Viewing will be held one hour prior.

Burial will be private at Dry Ridge Cemetery.
