Obituary

Gary John Martinez,59, of Somerset, went to be with the Lord, May 20, 2023.
Born July 3, 1963, in San Francisco, CA; he was a son of the late Roger and Martha (Martinez) Smeak. Also preceded in death by a brother, James Martinez; and a stepbrother, Russell Blontz.
Survived by son, Rocky; stepmother, Darlene Smeak; sisters, Becky Gordon-Giron, Veronica Smeak, Heidi (Shawn) Leydig, and Theresa Smeak (James Miller); stepsister, Beth Amy Blontz (Cindy Hill); numerous nieces and nephews; beloved family in Hyndman, Tennessee, Louisiana, and Georgia; and friends in Somerset and Lebanon, PA.
Gary was a 1982 graduate of Berlin Brothersvalley High School. He was kind and loving to everyone. He would always say, “God bless you.”
