Obituary

Shipley, Jada S., 21, Oakland MD, formerly of Hyndman, passed away from cancer on June 22, 2026. Born August 13, 2004, to Walter Shipley and Michelle Mason. She is preceded in death by her mother Michelle Mason; grandmother, Anna Marie Mason; special friends, John Schletzer.

She was survived by great grandmother, Mary Jo Shue ; great uncle, Larry (Teresa) Shue, uncle Dennis (Nicole) Mason Jr. and family; foster parents, Bobby and Missy Deneen; foster siblings, Bobby III, Chad, Keith, Josie, Jessica; boyfriend, Jacob Walter and family, Jennifer, Madison, and Isaac; special friends, Stephene (Jamie) Heiple, Amy Ortega, Marianne Schletzer, Lindsay, Alyssa, Kimmy, and Kaitlin 446.

Jada was a strong, independent woman who had a great love for animals and was studying to become a veterinary tech. Jada also loved the Baltimore Ravens Football team and the color purple. She was a very strong person who battled until the end. Everyone she contacted knew how strong of a person she was. She will be sadly missed by all. There will be a memorial service held on August 14, 2026, with a gathering time from 11 a.m. until service time at 1p.m., at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman PA 15545. The interment will be held at the Hyndman Cemetery in Hyndman, PA. Arrangements entrusted to the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home.
