Obituary

Lowery, JoAnn “Lil”, 91, Ellerslie, went to be with the Lord on March 5, 2026 at her daughter’s home with her daughter and son-in-law by her side. Born January 20, 1935, to the late Gilbert and Helene (Jeffreys) Pfitzenmayer. Also preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years Donald W. Lowery; brothers, George and Charles Pfitenmayer; sisters, Selma Lowery and Doris Stuby.

She was survived by her children, Ronald (Kimberly) Lowery, Michael Lowery, and DeAnn (David) Kennell; grandchildren, Sean Lowery, Mathew (Lauren) Lowery, Samantha (Bradley) Davis, Levi Kennell( Keely); great grandchildren, Olivia Lowery, Lilly Davis and expecting a great grandson in July; Brother, Edward Pfitzenmayer; brother in-law, Twain Lowery and numerous nieces and nephews.

JoAnn graduated from Mt.Savage High School, and she was the first May Queen at the school. She enjoyed cooking, canning and her family most of all. She was known as “Mom Maw” to her grandchildren, she spoiled them with unlimited ice cream cones and sweet treats. She is going to be sadly missed by all. Family will receive friends Tuesday March 10^th from 5pm to 8pm. and again Wednesday March 11^th from 10am until time of the funeral service at 11am.Pastor Ken Korns officiating at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home at 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman PA 15545.
