Obituary

Needmore, PA – John H. Crist, 78, of Needmore formerly of Greencastle, passed away Saturday August 13, 2016 at Pennknoll Village
Born November 22, 1937 in Pavia, PA; he was a son of the late John Homer and Clara (Dibert) Crist. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Homer Crist; and a sister, Mildred Replogle.
Survived by wife of 57 years, Mary (Beard) Crist, whom he married April 19, 1959; a son, Doug Crist and wife Jennifer of Needmore; step-grandchildren, Paige, Faith, Chance and Dakota of Needmore; a daughter, Sherry Sanders, and friend, William Hammond of Zullinger; grandchildren, Casandra Myer and husband Michael, Christina Sanders; great grandchildren, McKenzie and Lucas; a brother Owen K. Crist and wife Janet of Bedford and many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Crist was a 1955 graduate of Bedford High School. He served in the US Army. Retired from Gilman Sky Inc.
He was a member of the Antrim Brethren in Christ Church, Chambersburg. He enjoyed golf, had a love for life and was known as a joker.
Friends will be received at the Real Life Church, 621 W. Pitt St., Bedford, PA on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Service will be conducted at the church on Wednesday at 11 am with Pastor Lowell Bard officiating
Burial will follow at Bedford County Memorial Park with Military honors by the Ft. Bedford Honor Guard.
