Obituary

Hyndman, PA – John M. Huston, 73, of Hyndman passed away Thursday January 30, 2025, at his home.

Born May 30, 1951 in Huntingdon; he was a son of the late Jack and Esther (McMullen) Huston of Robertsdale. He is also preceded in death by a son Eric Huston.

Survived by his wife Julia (Emerick) Huston, sons, Thad Huston and wife Victoria of Los Angeles, CA, Todd Huston and wife Toni of Hopewell, Shawn Connor of Meyersdale; two grandchildren, Shawn Connor Jr and fiancée Ashlyn; Paige Coughenour and husband Derek; great grandsons, Camden and Bennett Coughenour; sisters, Janet Poore, Cynthia Jenkins, Brenda Fortna, and Mary Huston.

John worked with the Operating Engineers Local 66 as a mechanic and welder since 1969. He was a member of the Kennells Mill Sportsman’s Club. John loved gardening, cooking, canning, spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Monday February 3, 2025, from 5 to 8 p.m. where a funeral service will follow at 8 p.m. with Pastor Gary Pensyl officiating.

Burial will be private at Cook-Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Huntingdon County.
