Obituary

John Charles Ptomey (also known as Redskin John), aged 60, formerly of Crofton, MD passed away on 11/29/24. John will be remembered for his great sense of humor, his love for family, friends and his favorite football team, the Washington Redskins.

John was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Swan of Crofton, MD, his father, Richard Ptomey of Tracey City, TN and his daughter, Jennifer Leigh Adams of Rocky Mount, NC. He is survived by his 3 siblings, sister Debra Stuby and brother in law, Charles Stuby of Buffalo Mills, PA; sister, Sandra Ptomey and brother, Brian Ptomey and sister in law, Linda Ptomey of Gruetli Laager, TN; his daughter Christina Sparrow and grandson Mason of Crofton, MD; nephew, David Ptomey.

A memorial service will be scheduled for a later date.
