Obituary

Kathleen E. Pick, 93, of Hyndman, PA died Sunday, April 5, 2026, at the Lions Rehab Center, Cumberland.

Born in Corriganville, Maryland on September 2, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Lapp and Marian (Lowery) Lapp. She was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Pick, and daughter Sharon Turner.

Kathleen was a devoted homemaker, a gracious and loving wife and mother, and was affectionately known throughout the family as Mom Pick. She welcomed others into her home with warmth and generosity, always placing their needs before her own. She was a graduate of Allegany High School and a faithful member of First United Church of Christ in Hyndman, Pennsylvania.

Kathleen is survived by her daughter Donna Pick and son Jimmy Pick (Rhonda). She is also survived by six grandchildren: Brad Turner (Tammy), Janelle Smith (Brian), Hub Schad (Diane), Valerie Huffmyer (Bob), CJ Pick (Beth), and Ben Pick (Maddy). She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren, with 2 on the way.

The family extends their deepest gratitude to the staff of Lion’s Rehab Center for the compassionate care and support they provided to their mother. A private graveside service with immediate family will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home.
