Obituary

Larry E. Crawford, 72, of Corriganville, Md., passed away Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2020, at UPMC Western Maryland.

Born June 12, 1948, in Bedford, he was a son of the late Paul Henry and Ruth (Price) Crawford. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret (Ensminger) “Squirt” Crawford; a son, Bret Eugene Crawford; grandson, Aiden Crawford; sisters, Donna Connor and Patricia Phillips; a stepbrother, Jesse Bowser.

He is survived by children: Carl Crawford (Billie), Corriganville; Christa Crawford (Adam Hines), Short Gap, W.Va.; Mary Crawford (Mark Wolford), Ridgeley, W.Va.; Jamie Stevey (Michael), LaVale; grandchildren: Dana Cawford, Carl Crawford Jr., AJ and Angel Hines, Landon, Hayden and Lilian Stevey; a great-granddaughter, Emery King; sisters: Frances Beach, Armagh, and Gloria Nielson, Virginia Beach, Va.; a brother, Bob Crawford, Harrisburg; and many nieces and nephews

Larry was a graduate of Northern Bedford High School. He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He worked 20 years for the Maryland Department of Natural Resources. He delivered newspapers for the Cumberland Times News for many years. He enjoyed auctions and flea markets.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home Inc., 169 Clarence St., Hyndman, on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday at 11 a.m.

Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, LaVale.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home to help defer funeral expenses.
