Obituary

Corriganville, MD – Lurene F. Seekamp, 81, of Corriganville passed away Sunday August 9, 2015 at Allegany Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Born August 23, 1933 in Glencoe, PA; she was a daughter of the late Charles B. and Helen Hazel Bittner.

Survived by her husband of 60 years, Byron H. Seekamp, whom she married October 16, 1954; sons, Byron H. Seekamp Jr. and fiancée, Pam Swick; Craig S. Seekamp; daughter, Cathy (Seekamp) Milller and husband, Denny; six grandchildren, Adam Lewis; Justin Lewis; Sgt. Doug Robey; Autumn (Seekamp) Green; Capt. Patrick Miller; and Bryan Miller; numerous great-grandchildren; sister, Marie (Bittner) McKay, Des Moine, Iowa; and two nieces.

Lurene graduated from Berlin High School and attended Cathermans Business School, before going to work at the Pentagon. She enjoyed time with family, friends, and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home Friday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Ted Marsh officiating.

Burial will follow at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Glencoe, PA.
