Obituary

Mary Jane Printy, 84, of Stephens City, formerly of Ellerslie, went to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2009, at the Winchester Medical Center.

Born Sept. 25, 1925, in Ellerslie, Md., she was a daughter of the late George and Anna Ruth (Lowery) Mason. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Richard L. Printy in 1998; two brothers, Robert and Roy Mason; and a sister, Vera Catherine Logsdon.

She was a life long member of the Ellerslie United Methodist Church and was actively involved with the Ellerslie V.F.D Ladies Auxiliary for 35 years. She was best known for her wonderful pies. She also loved children and cared for many in her home.

She is survived by a daughter, Janet Park and husband Carl with whom she resided for the past 10 years in Stephens City; two sons, James Printy and wife Vicki of Staunton, and Michael Printy and wife Wendy of Bruceton Mills, W.Va.; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, Inc., 169 Clarence St., Hyndman, on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday at 11 a.m.

Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, LaVale, Md.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ellerslie United Methodist Church.
