Obituary

Hyndman, PA – Mildred F. Groves, 100, went to be with the Lord on Friday December 11, 2015 at Devlin Manor, Cumberland.
Born February 6, 1915 in Cuyahoga Falls, OH; she was a daughter of the late David and Abigail (Struckman) Hendershot. She was also preceded in death by her husband Franklin A. Groves in 1997, sisters, Helen Hendershot, Ruth Mason, Thelma Beal and Betty Lou Logsdon, and a brother, Robert Hendershot.
Survived by a son Tom F. Groves and wife Polly of Buffalo Mills, grandchildren, Angie Miller and husband Jay of Keyser, WV, Wayne Groves and wife Nicole of Hyndman; great grandsons, Owen Miller and John Wayne Groves.
Mildred was a Nurse’s Aide at Memorial Hospital for Many years. She was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church in Buffalo Mills, the ladies auxiliary and enjoyed going to Pennknoll Village with the church auxiliary to cook and bake for the residents.
A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home Monday December 14, 2015 at 2 p.m. with The Reverend Ryan K. Viands officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior.
Burial will follow at Lybarger Cemetery, Buffalo Mills.
